For more than 30 years, Firefly has compassionately served hundreds of individuals so they can live successfully in their own homes and participate in their communities. Our services focus on care that is individualized, community-based, and designed to enhance an individual’s quality of life.

How We Can Help

Firefly offers services in shared homes, in which a client lives with a companion or host in a home, or in an Individualized Supported Living (ISL) home, in which a client lives in their own home in their community. Services are individualized and designed to enhance an individual’s quality of life by:

  • Improving physical health and development.
  • Improving language and communication.
  • Teaching social skills.
  • Achieving increased levels of learning and reasoning.
  • Ensuring all health and safety needs are met.
  • Participating in community activities.
  • Teaching household and independent living skills.
  • Modeling social skills.
  • Supporting people to advocate for themselves.
  • Accessing leisure activities.
  • Helping to obtain and maintain a job, when desired.

Firefly provides activities and day programs in communities throughout Missouri for both people with developmental disabilities, as well as senior citizens. These services are designed to improve physical health and development, improve language and communication, teach social skills and achieve increased levels of learning and reasoning.

We provide behavioral services for clients who need extra support. These services include functional behavior assessments, writing and implementation of behavior support plans, and training of staff and stakeholders. Services are provided by credentialed and board-certified behavioral staff.
